Description
Mechanical Design Engineer (Pro-Engineer), will be involved in producing 3D models and drawings to assist in the design, manufacture and assembly of all aspects of subsea production equipment.
Responsibilities
In this position you will be required to:
- Produce technical designs based on Engineer's/Customer's specifications.
- Create accurate, high quality 3D models to be used for Pro/NC manufacturing.
- Create machine and fabrication drawings to enable manufacture.
- Create revisions to Legacy data.
- Adhere to recognised international and regional drafting standards.
- Create and maintain Bills of Material in the ePIMS database.
- Participate in design reviews - both internal and customer driven.
- Participate in lessons learned meetings to drive improvements in drawing quality.
- Comply with all department initiatives to meet and improve performance metrics.
- Coach and mentor junior team members.
Requirement
- HNC or equivalent in a relevant engineering field.
- Suitable experience in drafting/design using recognised CAD tool.
- Experience of producing drawings to a recognised industry standard (ISO, ASME, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Desired
- Pro/Engineer experience.
- Working knowledge of ASME drafting standards.
- Knowledge of GD&T.
- Knowledge of applicable manufacturing techniques.
- Good communication techniques.
- Previous Oil & Gas experience.
