Our client seeks a Software Developer with experience in C/C++ to design, develop and maintain Planning Software. The systems you will be designing are used to update timetables and enable their customers to interact with Operators. The role will require you to be in Germany for initially 4 months before returning to the UK.
The C/C++ Software Developer will have experience in Research and Algorithms, Client Server architectures and Databases (Oracle).
Preferably educated to degree level in computer sciences or having gained appropriate work experience, you will have the acquired knowledge in software engineering, data structures and OO design. You will be able grasp complex issues and can implement a variety of customer needs in an efficient manner and for modular standard products.
Ideally candidates will have experience of developing Web applications using Java and Mobile applications for the iPhone and/or Android but these are desirable skills.
Candidates will be a team player with good communication skills and enjoy working independently. English is the main communication language although you must be able to read German text as specifications etc. are all in German.
This opportunity is a long-term contract and will be based in the UK after an initial four months at the Hanover office in Germany.
