The Senior Program Manager will lead the Win7/Office 2010 program for the client's central technology group and assist in overseeing the project for their Business Unit Partners. The project has 2 major roll-out phases and is expected to run for 9 months.

Major initiative at one of the world's leading Financial Services firms, located in downtown Boston, convenient to public transportation!

Project & Program Planning - 60%: Manage an extended team of technology and business leads who are accountable for assessing Win7 readiness and certifying that production applications can run on a Win7 operating system with the Office 2010 suite. Coordinate the inventory of laptops and desktops that have outdated hardware and need to be migrated to new devices to enable the migration to Win7/Office 2010. Manage the migration to new hardware (as needed) and the Win7/Office 2010 for all associates in the technology group. Oversee the migration to new hardware and software for our BU partners

Strategic Governance & Customer Management - 25%: Builds partnership relationships across multiple CTG units and BU partners.

Reporting - 15%: Maintain data extraction and presentation application coded in C#, maintain program SharePoint site, maintain online PC Inventory SharePoint List

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

(What skills/experiences must this person have to even be considered?)

Experience managing complex technical projects following the full life cycle methodology from inception to transition to production and post-implementation

Understanding of the technology, business & supporting strategies

Strong understanding of corporate technical architecture and infrastructure

Experience with life cycle methodologies

Has expert knowledge of project management methodologies

PMP Certification preferred

NONESSENTIAL SKILLS DESIRED

(including team oriented, managerial skills, etc.)

Excellent written and verbal communication experience for an internal and external audience.

Excellent People Management skills to engage and develop the team.

Demonstrated mastery of previous levels' skills and responsibilities

Strong business executive relationship management skills

Experience managing systems integration projects

Strong expertise working with infrastructure and operations projects required

Industry wide project management expertise (certification or equivalent experience)

HARDWARE/SOFTWARE PACKAGES

Prefer:

o Experience with SharePoint libraries and lists
o Experience with SharePoint site administration
o Experience writing, troubleshooting, and maintaining C# (or other languages) desktop applications
o Experience writing and troubleshooting SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, Access)
o Experience with XML
o Experience with Web Service clients
