My client a leading Retail/Corporate Bank is looking for a Chief of Staff to:
Work closely with the Internal Communications Partner to ensure there is a robust and effective communications approach for the CFO

* Own the CFO monthly performance review content and process, using it not just as a reporting mechanism, but as a mechanism for strategic and operational review and dialogue
* Take ownership of specific strategic/other projects and CFO led initiatives as appropriate and lead delivery
* Help drive the development of the Balanced Business Plan for CFO, ensuring it accurately reflects and drives overall strategic agenda
* Run regular executive/management meetings for the CFO, including driving agenda, ensuring all executive members are clear on expectations, production or collation of high quality papers, secretariat duties, achievement of clear outcomes and owning and following up on actions along with progress/milestone tracking
* Maintain oversight and control of key budgets for function and track these to ensure no over-spend
* Lead processes and liaise with Finance to ensure plans are all realistic and appropriate
* Work closely with HR team on all colleague issues particularly future capability requirements for the function, and champion these with the CFO and the CFO Leadership Team

Person requirements:

*Proven experience of working across teams and able to contribute to the strategic direction of a business
*Able to deliver as a senior individual contributor, through influence and not through direct ownership or large resources
*Numerate and financially literate; able to understand and contribute to the business discussions and understanding of the external market and competitors
*Excellent written communications skills
*Politically astute and able to understand the dynamics of large, complex organisations; skilled in Matrix working
*Strong relationship, excellent stakeholder management skills and negotiating skills both across teams and upwards throughout organisations (particularly those that operate complex matrices)
*Highly organised and structured
*Strong analytical background
*Ability to thrive in a highly complex operating environment and with a huge variety of tasks and challenges
