Volt are recruiting for an interim Finance Manager working for a leading service provider to the banking & financial services industry.
Overall Role Purpose
Manage the financial reporting and forecasting processes for the Card Services Business Unit, providing a consolidated financial view of the business unit and for specified product portfolios.
Provide commercial finance advice, support and constructive challenge for bids and business cases for specified product portfolios.
Accountabilities
* Forecasting - managing the forecast process for the business unit. This includes managing key stakeholders and the development and maintenance of certain forecasting models to estimate future income and cost streams, the provision of clear analysis of those forecasts and working with the BU team to ensure that forecasting is as accurate as possible.
* Monthly reporting and analysis - leading the month-end process for the business unit which will include managing and liaising with the wider Finance teams to that end. Analysing the business unit P&L in accordance with month end timetables, to produce meaningful variance analysis and commentary. Reporting the key drivers of performance and driving actions to maximise profitability.
* Revenue and cost accounting for specific areas
* Bid and business case partnership and support - work with the business unit team to develop pricing and Financials for opportunities and initiatives
* Systems development - interact with the Finance Systems team to maintain systems (Oracle and CPM) that are configured to store and report appropriate business unit performance detail.
* Management of a member of staff
* Ad hoc requests - ad hoc analysis and reporting as and when
Skills & Experience Required
Qualified accountant
Financial reporting and forecasting and accounting experience
Oracle and Front End reporting tool (Infor CPM in particular) skills and experience
Good excel skills
