Role Description:
Seeking a Senior Business Analyst to work with and support the Regulatory Compliance group. Regulatory Compliance's primary mandate is protect the organization's external reputation by ensuring compliance with applicable securities laws. In general, Regulatory Compliance fulfills three main functions:
- Securities Law compliance monitoring and reporting,
- Operational compliance oversight, and
- Restricted list control and monitoring.
To facilitate Regulatory Compliance's responsibilities, works with the business to define, design, build and implement new reports, and supports the maintenance and enhancement of existing reports, the organization's proprietary compliance application and the Restricted List.
- Develops and manages requirements plans, negotiating deadlines and deliverables
- Engages customers, customer stakeholders and information technology stakeholders to collect and document detailed business and information technology requirements
- Analyzes business and information technology requirements to outline solution alternatives considering benefits, risks and costs
- Collaborates with Regulatory Compliance, Investments and Investment Finance stakeholders and information technology stakeholders in identifying and selecting solutions for implementation
- Monitors and adapts requirements plans in response to new ideas, changes in business requirements and delivery challenges
- Communicates requirements and implementation status to application managers and team members
- Facilitates communications and collaboration between Regulatory Compliance, stakeholders and team members
- Actively collaborates with information technology groups and stakeholders to support the delivery of organizational and information technology objectives
- Remains current as to business and technology developments and trends affecting Regulatory Compliance in order to inform planning and facilitate the evaluation of solution benefits, costs and alternatives
- Supports the productivity and efficiency of the Regulatory Compliance manager and team
Skills (Mandatory):
- At least 5 years experience as a Senior Business Analyst or Lead Business Analyst
- A minimum of 3 years experience in the investment industry
- Must have good communication skills.
- Candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
Skills (Nice to have):
- At least 1 year Regulatory Compliance experience preferred
- IT experience preferred
