Description
My client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Systems Administrator to join their team on a twelve month contract. The client is a leader in the IT Services industry and has a large online environment using Linux operating systems.
The role will be responsible for providing 3rd level support across a mixed platform environment (in both a projects and BAU capacity), contributing to ongoing development and maintenance.
Essential skills:
- Strong Linux administration experience (Redhat, Centos, Ubuntu)
- Strong skills in Linux Virtualization
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation and ticketing experience
- Understanding and ability to manually rebuild a Kernel
- Strong experience using Wiki's
- Solid experience using Apache, Tomcat, Nagios applications
- Strong Scripting skills (Shell, Perl, Bash)
- Degree qualified
- Strong communication skills
