Job Title: IT Consultant/WebSphere Support
Location: Poznan, Poland
Start Date:
Duration: 6 months (contract)
Salary: negotiable (dependant on experience)
The purpose of this role is to support my client's WebSphere Application Server platform. This role is also expected to simplify the environment as well as to introduce WebSphere Applications server support to the whole hosting operations team.
Some of the duties required:
Assist with the implementation of, and execute the operation of, system monitoring tools and scripts
Performs troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common system problems; documents system events to ensure continuous functioning. Recommends course of action and implements as approved.
Configure system level security as required by the applications
Establish, maintain, and monitor connectivity with directory services as well as web, application and database Servers
Maintain documentation for system support; mentor other administrators
Project Management and supervision of project teams, consisting of NDHS and other IT and CBS contributors, to meet service and technical requirements and future improvements
Using ITIL and Lean Sigma methodology to create and improve processes.
Ownership of operational metrics to ensure that service levels and IPM measures are achieved
Ownership and development of operational documentation and processes, driving continuous improvement.
Excellent English skills (spoken and written) are necessary, Polish not necessarily required.
Specialised Skills:
- Knowledge of developing SLA/OLA and proactively measuring service performance.
- Strong familiarity with other IT platforms and applications.
- Experience with other J2EE app hosting platforms
- Experience with LDAP-based directory services
- Experience with SSL Certificate Administration
- Experience with MS SQL/Oracle Administration
