Our client is a hugely popular computer components company seeking a highly motivated Wireless Test Technician for a contract opportunity with their Mobile Wireless Group. This candidate will excel at test activities for the client's wireless communication products.

TASKS TO INCLUDE:

  • Executing comprehensive test plans for drivers to ensure the product achieves Microsoft WHQL certification
  • Preparing test systems and Servers
  • Reporting results and filing bugs
  • Working closely with the WHQL team to deliver high quality results on schedule

REQUIREMENTS:

  • College degree or equivalent experience required
  • 2 years in software validation and executing test cases
  • Understanding of Software QA methodology preferred
  • Experience installing and configuring Microsoft OS's from Windows XP forward
  • Experience in configuring and operating an automated test environment
  • Ability to file and validate device driver bugs
  • Familiarity with Microsoft WLK and experience in WHQL testing highly desired
  • Knowledge/experience in wireless technologies like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 802.16 technologies preferred
  • Familiarity and experience installing and managing Microsoft Server 2003 and 2008
  • Debug skills for collecting event logs and crash dumps, configuring and attaching Debugger
  • Experience with test automation Scripting, preferably using ITE and VBScript
  • Ability to thrive as a team player while working collaboratively within a small, dynamic environment
  • Strong ability to multi-task and meet aggressive goals and high quality standards on schedule
  • Good disposition and excellent communication and reporting skills (oral and written)
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, strong aptitude and desire to learn new technologies
