A leader within the global aviation industry due to expansion has openings for Engineers that have Stress Analysis experience at all levels. This opportunity will be on a contract basis and the successful engineer will be joining a team with a wealth of experience to ensure all analysis is completed to the highest standard.

Desired Skills & Experience
*Degree qualified in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent discipline, plus 5 years relevant aerospace experience.
*Sound fundamental knowledge of mechanical engineering, stress, fatigue and vibration analysis.
Previous experience of managing a team.
*Supervise, manage and provide technical leadership to the Stress and Thermal Analysis Group in order to provide structural substantiations for fuel systems and components using analytical and numerical methods.
*Approval of all structural design schemes and drawings, concessions/production permits and structural justification/thermal analysis reports.
*Produce and approve bids and estimates for Stress and Thermal analyses content of work packages and identify risks associated with the structural analysis.
*Act as a point of contact with customers (internal and external), suppliers and other stakeholders to deliver solutions which meet the customer's requirements, cost and programme plan.
*Develop and manage low cost resource and suppliers on stress related issues and work packages.
*Lead the development of the company standard procedures and stress handbook methods.
*Generating and promoting initiatives aimed at improving the performance of the Stress team, Engineering department and the business including the implementation of lean working methods and procedures.
*Ensure that the capability of the Stress and Thermal Analysis Group is kept current through the identification and fulfillment of staff training requirements and usage of latest analysis software and hardware.
*Ensure DFSS, DFMA & DFR methods are utilized and ensure that the design engineering process adheres to PRO-Launch requirements.

Desired Skills & Experience
*Degree qualified in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent discipline, plus 5 years relevant aerospace experience.
*Sound fundamental knowledge of mechanical engineering, stress, fatigue and vibration analysis.
Previous experience of managing a team.
*Strong background in Finite Element Analysis methods including linear, non-linear, normal modes and composite analysis and preferably has knowledge of Ansys, Catia, Pro/Engineer and MathCAD.
*Excellent knowledge of performing hand calculations.
