Cisco Network Engineer Luxembourg (Cisco Network Engineer)
We are looking for a Cisco Network Engineer for a 12 months contract in Luxembourg to start in February.
The Network Engineer will provide support of existing and/or new networks or systems to support business requirements and/or solve business problems. The incumbent leads efforts in the research and development of new network and/or systems technologies that fulfil specific internal and/or external customer needs. The incumbent provides investment analysis and recommendations on technology changes, and pioneers the deployment of new technologies and solutions. The incumbent may work independently or lead small teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES (DUTIES) OF POSITION:
RELEVANT TECHNICAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE PERTAINING TO POSITION: (one or more of the following)
- LAN data and voice communication transports
- WAN data and voice communication transports
- small and large telephone systems
- Intermediate understanding of Windows operating systems as they relate to networking systems and network interaction.
- Firewalls, proxies, Load balancers
EXPERIENCE:
- 3 years detailed, hands-on experience with one or more of the following
- Voice services (PBX, Voice mail, Call center) - Nortel
- DataCenter networks (Juniper, Cisco, Bluecoat)
- Wide Area Networks (Cisco, Checkpoint, Bluecoat)
- Local Area Networks (Cisco, Enterasys, Wired and Wireless)
- Service and Vendor management
- Experience with global company preferred
OTHER INFORMATION:
- Good analytical and problem determination skills
- Highly effective organization and time management skills
- Project management and communication skills
- Ability to travel, including international locations. Travel should not exceed one week per month on average
- Flexibility in work schedules, including evening and weekend requirements (scheduled in advance)
- Fluent in English
