JOB PURPOSE:
To lead and co-ordinate impact assessments, requirements definition and functional design across systems to ensure a complete and coherent systems solution.
Work pro-actively with other analysts, technical consultants and subject matter experts to:
*co-ordinate the production of estimates based on system impact of business requirements
*identify and progress the allocation of solutions across projects, programmes & releases
*assist the business stakeholders in the prioritisation and phasing of requirements
*develop high-level and detailed functional and non functional system requirements
*be responsible for the translation of the detailed business requirements into functional specifications
*ensure common understanding, quality of deliverables and compliance with business requirements by consultation and review
*support production of test plans, test conditions, test scripts, and support running of integrated system, user acceptance and various other tests
*Perform appropriate subset of the above for change requests and minor system enhancements
*Be responsible for the management of changes during the development life cycle
*Perform quality reviews on deliverables produced by colleagues inside and outside the team (including third parties)
Prepare and deliver presentation/demonstration material as required
Skills and Knowledge
*Knowledge of development life cycles and strong experience of initial stages of life cycles (eg concept scopes and high level requirements)
*Good knowledge of relevant business practices, approaches and processes
*Ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and communicate in business language
*Ability to work at a conceptual level where business objectives & requirements may not be well defined
*Good facilitation, communication, listening and presentation skills.
