Description
We are recruiting on behalf of one of the Leading Financial Institutions in the Sydney CBD. This is an initial 6 month contract which is highly likely to be extended. Our client requires a Windows System Administrator, preferably with Financial Industry experience. The successful candidate will be working as a senior member of an IT technical professional team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support application, configuration and deployments across the portfolio.
- Execute installations and upgrades of new and existing in house and 3rd party application
- software and services on all environments.
- Provide support 24 x 7 for production systems (after hours support on a roster basis).
- Plan and execute disaster recovery tests.
- Provide environment consultancy services to projects as needed.
- Build and manage internal and external relationships and work with stakeholders at all levels in the organization.
Key Skills Required:
- Windows Operating Systems - Desktop (Windows XP, 7) and Server (Windows 2003, 2008)
- ESX Vmware
- SQL Server 2000, 2005 & 2008 and SQL programming languages
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Scripting and Microsoft programming languages .NET C#, VBA/S, Powershell, Batch
- Network configuration and IP security.
- Application reviews, reverse engineering (experience required in Wireshark, Fiddler or other similar tools)
- Source control tools ( VSS, SVN, Cruise Control )
- Visual Build
- VMWare Service Manager
- Web based technologies IIS, ASP .Net, WebSphere
- Citrix
- Strong methodical and innovative troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
- Good knowledge of infrastructure architectures - Windows, networking, Active Directory, Load balancers (software and hardware based)
- Web server setup administration and support (IIS5, IIS6, ASP, Asp, .Net, Java)
- Understand impact of issues and take remediative actions.
- Log and escalate issue to internal teams, 3rd party vendors.
- Resolve issues within SLA agreements.
- Multi task - resolving multiple issues simultaneously.
- Setting priorities.
- Work across a broad range of enterprise applications and services.
- Able to handle ambiguity in areas of support responsibility.
