We are seeking a functional business analyst to join the Master Data and Information Management (MDIM) application development team. Successful applicants would possess attributes of a motivated, self-starter who is highly organized, possesses great communication skills and enjoys the challenges of multi-tasking. The individual must be comfortable working as a part of a collaborative team as well as independently. The candidate should possess a positive attitude and a willingness to learn about our financial and transportation systems. The Master Data Management Team is responsible for obtaining, normalizing, maintaining and delivery of vital Master Data for all major applications throughout the organization worldwide. You will work in a demanding and exciting environment that is creative, detail oriented, flexible and absolutely pertinent to the success and strength of the company. The position is responsible for accurately gathering, consolidating, analysing and documenting rules and detailed functional requirements within the Master Data domain. In this role, the candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders and programmers to refine and clarify functional specifications. The candidate will also be responsible for the communication of project status on functional specifications to the leader of MDIM. Other responsibilities include the verification of product quality through coordinated system to system testing in addition to user acceptance testing.

  • Collect, review, analyze, evaluate and prioritize business and system requirements
  • Document functional requirements, translate the requirements into use cases, process flows and test cases
  • Responsible for writing and delivering the functional specifications (Blueprint)
  • Work with the architects, technical lead and developers to translate business requirements to system design
  • Serve as a liaison for QA, create test plans, test cases and do functional testing as needed
  • Actively participates in, and sometimes may be assigned to coordinate, the user acceptance testing, defect and issue tracking processes related to the application software
  • Effectively collaborate on managing business/functional scope utilizing change control processes
  • Address issues and mitigate risks, communicate status to business, IT Management and other IT teams that are impacted by the project
  • Estimate and build realistic schedules and drive activities to successful completion on time
  • Support the change control process and coordinate application deployments
  • Possess solid communication skills and a strong customer focus

At least 3-5 years of experience in information technology as a Functional-Business Analyst managing the delivery of information technology solutions in a MDIM project
Demonstrated success in the development and delivery of information technology solutions in MDIM
Strong facilitator; adept at running meetings with end users, gathering and managing specifications and requirements
Must exhibit excellent written and verbal skills
Should be a self-starter and be able to work under minimal supervision.

Prefered Qualifications

  • Practical experience with Object Oriented system development
    Prince II practitioner and/or knowledge of UML
    Knowledge of relational database concepts
    Experience with creating relational database queries
    Knowledge of transportation management systems
  • Experience in the development of Master data Systems
