A fantastic opportunity has come up for a Commercial Procurement Manager to work for a leading mobile telecoms company in Berkshire to deliver commercial acumen, good practice procurement techniques and maintaining comprehensive and clear audit trails of documents recording the evolution of the procurement process from kick off to contract completion.

As a Commercial Procurement Manager, your responsibilities will include:
-To engage with relevant parts of the business at all levels to assess their needs for procurement and contract management support and influence the thinking to minimise risk exposure during the all phases of a business life cycle.
-Support the business by helping it understand and interpret the contractual arrangements and help prevent risks becoming issues and support disputes resolution.
-To support negotiations with suppliers to achieve a contracted solution that meets the expectations of business stakeholders ensuring all documentation is in place and all parties are briefed at all stages on the scope, development, trade offs and risks associated with the procured solution.
-To support the analysis of complex problems affecting or involving multiple senior or exec parties, support the effort to determine swiftly and accurately the root cause(s) and support the implementation of appropriate remedial binding actions to address the problems.
-To maintain accurate, clear, concise documents, keep records of all decisions taken, parties engaged in decision making and ensure all actions, logs and registers are complete and accurate with entries being made in a timely fashion.

As a Commercial Procurement Manager, you must have the following Operational experience:
-Ability to handle ambiguity effectively, deal with multiple assignments simultaneously (at least 3 assignments at once), and prioritise and organise their work to be able to meet all deadlines.
-An enquiring mind, able to cut through to identify root causes of any issues and formulate a plan of action to address the causes.
-An understanding of the benefit of risk management and examples of where positive and negative risks have been identified and managed successfully.
-Proactive character, able to take the initiative and resolve issues swiftly and effectively.
-Ability to work with others as an effective, supportive team member together tackling challenges to the timing, scope and/or quality of procurement and contract management activity.
-Ability to explain complex or detailed concepts rationally with facts, figures and other supporting evidence and convince parties with differing views of an agreed way forward.
-Ability to think at strategic level and translate into pragmatic plans for implementation.
-Ability be to proactive, collaborative and yet able to resist unreasonable or unrealistic requests.
-Disciplined, organised, methodical worker with an eye for detail and ability to challenge and question in a diplomatic way based on a solid grounding of procurement and contract management subject matter expertise.
