My client is one of the largest and most widely respected pharmaceutical companies in the world who employs over 3,500 people across 8 sites in the UK.
An exciting opportunity has arisen in their cross divisional finance shared service centre for a Finance Manager/Head of Financial Reporting & Accounting. This role will be part of the shared service team and will be a 12 months fixed term contract covering a secondment; the role is based at their new offices in Camberley (GU15).
The shared services team supports the financial, reporting and accounting activities in 3 key business units in the UK, Ireland and Nordic countries. Revenue's of the combined business supported amount to roughly £0.5 billion.
Key Accountabilities
* Lead Financial Accounting (Systems, Accountants/Transaction Processors), managing the people, resources and information systems across all UK and Nordic business units.
* Providing Accounting Services while ensuring quality of financial and management information that support effective decision making on a Global and Regional level.
* Ensure reporting units within the region comply with company's internal control standards and SOX 404 requirements.
* Business partner with "designated" local business units to ensure that business objectives are met through provision of timely, accurate and relevant financial information.
Experience Required
* Experience of Team leadership - line management, coaching, mentoring & development of team members
* Certified Public Accountant/Chartered Accountant or equivalent
* Strong technical competence acquired in Audit (Big 4 or similar) or in larger accounting department within an International Group.
* Knowledge and practice of IFRS and ERP accounting package.
