My client is in the midst of an aggressive growth phase and is seeking to grow their On-line based Application portfolio. You would be required in this position to manage the development and implementation of the Organisations Business Solutions, including availability for applications and manage the changes to the organisations operating environment to minimise adverse impacts resulting in streamlined delivery of solutions within the business for the customers.

(Financial services or Insurance background is required)

This role would suit a seasoned Technical Project Manager with previous experience managing the delivery of applications, online based implementations or delivery of business solutions within the financial services industry.

Experience/Essential criteria:

  • Formal IT project management experience, training and/or qualifications
  • Financial services industry background (essential)
  • Proven experience delivering On-line/Web-based projects E2E
  • At least 4-5 years project management experience and 3 years in a development or BA role.
  • Proven experience in managing a team
  • Proven experience as an effective leader with good skills in user liaison and in the planning, resourcing and management of cross-functional projects in the financial services industry.
  • Demonstrable track record in the successful delivery of projects in the IT sector with costs over $1m and duration in excess of 6 months
  • Ensure the project requirements are clearly defined and documented and the associated determinants of project success are defined in a set of Acceptance Criteria, and that mechanisms are put in place to measure their achievement.
Core Tasks:
  • Effectively manage relationships with IT delivery teams, and facilitate collaboration between those teams (including external providers)
  • Structure IT solution delivery teams to incorporate required skills, from Bank team members and delivery partners
  • Track and manage IT solution delivery activities, and identify and develop mitigation strategies to manage interdependencies between solution components
  • Oversee the production and delivery of solution components from vendors and third party suppliers, manage risks and issues and develop effective mitigation strategies for same
  • Ensure technology solutions are aligned with org's architecture
  • Responsible for the budget for the SDLC component on larger projects.
