Description
Tasks:
- Contribution to and validation of technical design, Test and Launch scenarios in the context of IT initiatives, ranging from large strategic programmes to smaller projects;
- Assuming ownership responsibility for products and technologies, implemented or to be considered;
- Product ownership includes:
Research and building strategy;
Define and document improvement;
Validate the implementation;
Ensure support (Documentation, Procedures, Contracts);
Monitoring (alerting, performance, capacity).
- Collaborate with the Technical Domain Owner for the Windows domain in providing guidance and support within the assigned area of product ownership.
- Performing technical prototyping for new and new versions of products and technologies.
- 3rd Line production support (including on-call watch-duty outside normal business hours: approximately 8 weeks/year);
- Some travel required to the Bank's office in Brussels.
Essential Skills:
- Minimum 5 years experience in an IT Systems Engineering environment:
- VMware Virtualisation technology expertise (including Vsphere 4 & Vsphere 5), VMware certification is an plus;
- Experience in supporting/troubleshooting VMware hypervisors including console/debugging knowledge;
- Experience in implementing virtualization in large environment (500+ virtual machines);
- Experience with VMware key technologies such as DRS, Vmotion, HA, Clustering, Shared datastores, etc;
- Windows Server operating systems knowledge (including Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 R2);
- Widnows MSCS and failover clustering;
- Directory Services MS Active Directory (Security structure, GPOs, ADAM etc);
- IP Networking: DNS, WINS, DHCP;
- Language: English & French mandatory (please do not apply unless you have a good level in both languages).
