Benchmarking Engineer - Network/Virtualization/Cloud
For this contract position with a world renowned hardware company, you will provide platform tuning for benchmark involving Hardware, Network, Hypervisor and Cloud.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install Hypervisor, Cloud OS, Client OS and applications
- Set up test bench
- Connect network and storage
- Run benchmark and collect performance data of hardware and software components
- Identify bottlenecks
- Re-tune hardware and software for best performance
- Repeat benchmarks
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hands-on experience with benchmarking and lab work
- Administrator level knowledge of using popular Hypervisors
- Experience with hardware and software install
- Networking theoretical background (protocols, TCP/IP and Ethernet)
- Networking, Hypervisor and OS benchmarking experience
- Network Sniffer use experience preferred
- Data Base, RESTful API preferred
Start date: ASAP
Estimated length of assignment: 6 months
Number of positions: 40 hours (standard hours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM)
Overtime not permitted without approval
