Commercial Manager - Transport/Rail Commercial Management

Commercial Manager with the ability to manage contractual obligations under multi million pound contracts and deal with contract disputes and claims is needed to work with a large government client to lead the relationship with a passenger rail franchise operator. The Commercial Manager will be responsible for managing commercial issues, briefing ministers and representing government interests in the Rail Re-franchising programme whilst conducting contractual negotiations and providing wider commercial expertise.

+Strong Commercial Management experience with a strong track record of success.
+Experience of contract management and outsourced service provisions
+The ability to manage contract obligations under multi million pound contracts
+The ability to be Commercial astute whilst dealing with claims and disputes.
+The capability to Brief Senior Directors and government ministers.
+The credibility to interact and challenge CEO's and FEO's or large train companies.
+The ability to act quickly to changing situations whilst working independently and managing large risks.
+The ability to synthesise large amounts of complex information from a variety of disciples whilst identifying key risks and proposing robust solutions.
+Credibility at a senior level with the ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders, including partners, Senior Directors and Ministers.
+Evidence of working with complexity - whether in a delivery, project or contract management environment
+Experience of advising multiple clients, either internal or external, on complex multidisciplinary projects and on commercial strategies and issues generally;

Commercial Manager- Transport/Rail Commercial Management-Desirable Skills

+Experience of working within a regulatory delivery environment, such as, utilities, telecoms or financial services.
+Project and/or programme management in a regulated industry.
+Relationship management in a delivery/commercial environment.
+Knowledge and experience of the wider transport and/or rail sector.
+Degree, MBA, or professionally qualified.
