Our client, a leading global CRO, provides a comprehensive range of services in Phase I-IV clinical trials to the biopharmaceutical and device industries. They are currently seeking an OBIEE Developer for a 12 month contract at their Dublin site.
JOB ROLE:
The OBIEE Developer will provide quality solutions in the development, enhancement and maintenance of Business Intelligence systems.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES include:
Design and implement the data loading (ETL) and publishing processes within the DW/BI environment, multi-dimensional models, including the construction of Dimensions and Facts and reporting applications including BI dashboards, ad-hoc analysis and reporting and static reports
Translating project requirements into functional and technical specifications for BI reports and applications
Provide expertise to the user community to improve their knowledge and understanding of BI as well as contributing to and supporting the organisation's Business Intelligence architecture and strategy definition Negotiate and agree scope and timescales with users to achieve best possible match between operational needs and BI system suitability and capability
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Degree or local equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline
Relevant experience in the delivery of Business Intelligence solutions as well as knowledge and experience in the design, construction and management of Datawarehouse and Business Intelligence solutions
Oracle Certification, experience in the design and implementation of ETL processes using Oracle ODI and Informatica would all be an advantage
Understanding of Dimensional Modeling and OLAP principles and experience in Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) would be a distinct advantage.
Experienced in developing Business Intelligence solutions
Familiar with best practice methodologies such as Inmon and Kimball
Advanced knowledge and skills in SQL and skills in DBA, along with an overall understanding of systems architecture & technology development life cycle
Good knowledge of Enterprise Data Model and Master Data management concepts
PERSONAL SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
Excellent problem solving, negotiation, presentation and communications skills
Valid drivers licence
