Project Manager - Channel/Service Delivery - Galway x 2

The Channel Services & Delivery PM's will lead the innovative development that contributes to the maintenance of internal and externally facing solutions. These solutions are for the benefit of global services sales & delivery divisions, which are multi-billion dollar businesses.

Responsibilities

  • The PM is responsible for leading the portfolio management and delivery of engineering programs across multiple disciplines including but not limited to the different engineering job families or directly managing the development of a single project/product release, on-schedule, meeting the scope requirements and delivering expected business benefits
  • To manage the life cycle of the project ensuring the deadlines are achieved and day-to-day functions of the program and related projects take place as required.
  • Works with engineering management to identify and improve overall efficiency of the program in the future.
  • To ensure the Best practices are captured and applied in achieving the operational excellence.
  • Performs analysis of cross-functional and complex business requirements.
  • Work with QA and test lead to ensure SIT and UAT test plans are defined, performed and test plans and results are documented accordingly.
  • Ensure a release plan is defined and successfully executed.
  • Identifies the need for new IT processes as well as significant improvements to major IT processes and drives the development and implementation.

Desirable Experience & Qualifications

  • Track record of successful program management in global complex, multi function programs. Leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organizations long term.
  • Be able to map broad concepts to structured projects, or translate conceptual requirements into concrete IT deliverables.
  • Must have previous experience leading an IT program or related initiatives.
  • Proven problem solving skills and techniques.
  • Broad to advanced technical and business knowledge.
  • Able to quickly learn and comprehend technology landscape, technical design options, interdependencies and constraints.
  • Able to quickly develop deep business knowledge in the domain where the program or projects are covering
  • Effectively manages multiple projects simultaneously across businesses.
  • Ability to coordinate the work of others against requirements of schedule and quality across the full systems development life cycle.
  • Strong relationship, communications, interpersonal, and management skills (customer service oriented).
  • Candidates must have excellent organizational skills, excellent English oral and written communications skills and a high level of interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a self-motivated team player with the ability to work in a customer oriented, very fast-paced and demanding environment with minimal supervision.
  • Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives.
