An excellent opportunity has arisen working for a Major Utilities Organisation of ours for an Employee Relations Manager.
The Employee Relations Manager:
Projects role will work alongside HR centres of expertise and senior managers to design and implement ER projects and activities, specifically those associated with operating our collective bargaining framework.
Experience Required
Ideally will have significant Employee Relations experience, including active involvement in TU negotiation and consultation processes. Project management experience.
Qualifications Required
Ideally CIPD qualified
Behavioural Competencies/Leadership Qualities
Strong negotiations and communications skills. Ability to lead a team and make key decisions. Strong organisational planning ability.
Technical/Role Specific Competencies
Knowledge and understanding of employment legislation, specifically that associated with TU and labour relations. Able to use wide range of technical tools such as email, word documents, spreadsheets and presentations
Job Dimensions (direct reports, budget, etc)
No direct reports or budgetary responsibility
Main Interfaces
This role will work closely with HR COEs and senior managers, with frequent contact with the TU Full Time Officers (FTOs) and reps.
Key Tasks
* Lead the development of activities associated with collective bargaining mechanisms
* Work closely with other project teams to track progress, and identify risks, issues and dependencies
Ensure appropriate reporting of progress to key stakeholders
Experience of organisational change
Experience of pay negotiations.
Handling Trade Union discussions etc
