Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer

Years of experience & expertise level: 3+ years in testing software applications
Our client is a hugely popular computer components brand seeking a QA Engineer to contribute to internally developed software application used to manage Resource Management information. The system tracks Program Cost and tracks that actual resource allocations and spending for programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review design and requirements materials to understand features being developed
- Develop/document Test Scripts for software features
- Perform initial test and checkout of new features
- Validate bug and defect fixes are ready for release to production
- Participate in Integration Test and User Acceptance Test activities
- Develop additional regression test scripts as needs are identified
- Working with Developer to help understand why the scripts are failing or what is the cause/scenario of the bugs found
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to learn software functionality quickly
- Excellent written communication skills-must be able to develop clear and easy to follow test scripts for customers and other team members
- Self-motivation and resourcefulness in trying to understand why things are failing tests
- Detailed oriented ability to work with the Developers to test as the features are being developed
Additional Skills (Nice to Have):
- Experience working in Agile SCRUM process
- Automated Testing
