Job Title: SAP Engineer
Location: Beerse, Belgium
Salary/Rate per hour: €60
Contract: 7 months

Project/Department Description and responsibilities:
* The APE SAP engineering team is responsible for SAP Engineering, 3rd Line Business Application Support (SAP) and Consulting Projects

Environment Development Tool(s) and Platform(s):
* SAP BC (ECC/SCM/BI/PI and NetWeaver CE)
* Open Text - SAP archiving
* Knowledge SAP Solution Manager
* Windows OS, Unix HPUX, Linux Suse
* Oracle, SQL Server, MaxDB
* ABAP, Java

Primary Tasks and responsibilities:
* SAP first time software installations and upgrades, 3rd line SAP support, performance tuning, authorizations (no customizing!)
* Some project related tasks, translating the clients requirements into technical design solutions on infrastructural level.
* Project Reviews
* POCs for new Capabilities
* Engineer new solutions (Post POC) for release to Production into a service
* Maintain SAP roadmaps
* Proactive TLM for SAP stack
* Engineering of SAP shared Service

Technical profile requirements:
* Architectural knowledge level in SAP landscapes (+4 years)
* Basic Oracle DBA, w2k and Unix skills (not in depth)
* Knowledge of SAP Eco-System Tools (specifically solution manager and GRC)
* Detail technical experience in ECC/SCM/BI/PI/NetWeaver CE& knowledge JnJ SAP landscapes configurations is an advantage
* Technical writing skills to write the proper documentation according to internal regulations (FDA part 11, GxP, )
* 7+ years SAP BC knowledge
* 5+ years Java, ABAP (able to read the code and debug where needed, no development!)
* 7+ years HP Unix, Linux & SUN
* 7+ years Oracle, SQL & Windows
* 3+ years SAP Solution Manager

Non-Technical profile requirements:
* Some flexibility in working hours is required (occasional over-time or weekend/holiday work)
* Occasional engineering related travel is possible
* Ability to identify and implement process and/or application improvements
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Must be able to work on multiple simultaneous tasks with limited supervision
* Quick learner, motivated self-starter
* Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and team collaboration skills
* Able to follow change management procedures and internal guidelines Methodology/Certification requirements
* Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science OR equivalent through experience. Advanced course work in technical systems plus continued education in technical disciplines is preferred
* Additional certification is a plus Language proficiencies
* English spoken and written
