We have an exciting contract opportunity for a highly experienced Microsoft Solution Designer to work within our client's large enterprise environment
Job Description:
To prepare Microsoft based Solution designs for bids. To develop Microsoft based detailed architectures and high level designs for delivery projects. You will be required to lead development teams in the build of Microsoft based BI systems.
Skills and Responsibilities:
- Microsoft Solution Designer- OLAP, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, SQL key tasks will include:
- To prepare solution architectures as part of bid response.
- To prepare detailed architectures and high level designs for MS based development projects.
- To lead development team in developing Microsoft BI systems.
- To provide Microsoft Business Intelligence specialist consulting support to client and consultants/colleagues.
- To act in a quality insurance role by reviewing the designs proposed by the consultants within the team.
- To ensure best practices are implemented in the project to ensure a high quality deliverable.
- Microsoft Solution Designer- OLAP, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, SQL profile/experience
- Experience of two, preferably three, life cycles of designing, configuring, implementing and testing Microsoft solutions including MS SQL server, SSIS, SSRS and SSAS and SQL. Extensive Team leading experience gained through a minimum of 2 full life cycle Business Intelligence projects.
- Experience and expert understanding of OLAP implementation models including HOLAP, MOLAP and ROLAP.
- SME in Microsoft with an ability to translate complex requirements into designs. Implementable by development teams.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- A strong academic track record including the achievement of a good honours degree or equivalent.
