Description
Our client is a hugely popular computer components brand seeking an individual to perform validation testing and maintenance of test and lab equipment. In this position, you will also be responsible for supporting Developers with system setup, hardware modifications, BIOS and Flash updates on motherboards and add-in cards, system debug and troubleshooting, and test and debug support during validation cycles. You may also be responsible for board-level rework and soldering.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least four years industry experience as a Validation or Engineering Technician, including support and setup of up lab systems and infrastructure
- Knowledge of current PC industry, particularly cutting edge software and hardware
- Extensive, hands-on experience building and configuring PCs from components, and troubleshooting issues
- Solid soldering skills, including fine-pitch, surface mount, and through-hole soldering
- Experience with Enterprise versions of Linux (both RedHat and SUSE)
- Experience supporting product testing in a fast-paced, dynamic lab environment
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Must be detail oriented
- Passion for quality
- Ability to thrive in a challenging environment working as an integral member of a product development team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivation, capable and excited to learn about new technologies

Number of hours per week: 40 hours (standard hours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM)
