Hiring an Enterprise QA Engineer for an innovative large scale enterprise distributed system where consumers can manage their loyalty programs in one place and take advantage of the consolidation to make purchases. You will lead a team of 6+ off shore QA Analysts for functional, security, performance and scalability, automated, and integration testing. The Enterprise QA Engineer will be expected to craft a comprehensive QA strategy and test plans for the entire enterprise application. This will include isolated testing of individual application components as well as end to end system testing including clustered databases, multiple user interfaces, and 3rd party system integration points. The ideal candidate will be well versed with distributed enterprise architectural patterns as well as appropriate quality assurance techniques for testing high transaction volume, performance, and availability. You will be expected to assist with parts of the testing approximately 50% of the time to validate defects, work with the developers to understand the defects and to assist the off shore team when needed. You will make performance and scalability recommendations based on the testing results. The ideal candidate will be engaged in heavy collaboration with both clients and team members; therefore, a consultative demeanor is a must.

Responsibilities:

Oversees the creation of any offshore test plans that are created for nonfunctional testing and ensures the plans are followed.

Works with BAs, developers and product owner at all stages to promote quality

Manages defect tracking and produces defect reports

Verifies requirements have been met

Helps translate requirements and use cases into test cases

Facilitates the review of test cases

Produces and distributes regular status reports to upper management

Records and manages issues and risks to the QA effort
Required Experience:

Experience leading off shore QA efforts and teams of 3 or more testers

Experience with large scale enterprise distributed systems in a high transactional environment that includes both web and complex Middleware components

Experience managing automated, functional, performance, integration and security testing efforts

Experience developing a documented test strategy and test plans for multiple application/modules for large scale enterprise distributed systems

Experience testing multi-node, clustered databases

Must have experience with testing environments that utilize Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)

Prefer candidates with payment processing and financial background

Technical Environment: Oracle RAC, MySQL, FuseESB, JBOSS, Java/JEE
