VMWare/Windows/Wintel Engineer - VMWare - Windows - Server - Active Directory - Scotland - Contract - £Neg
My client is a leading world wide bank and currently recruiting for a Senior Windows engineer with strong VMWare experience. The position will, under minimal supervision and following standard practices and procedures, conduct operational support, problem resolution and lead projects for assigned Windows Server operating systems and VMWare in the UK managed sites. Applicants will be required to install, configure and support the following: Windows/VMware/Linux Server operating systems, Active Directory/SMS/EPO. Successful candidate will have MCSE or equivalent experience. Minimum 6 years experience in a senior IT role. In depth knowledge of VMWare, and Active Directory is essential. Root cause analysis. Experience of HP ProLiant Servers, components & drivers, will give applicants a strong advantage. Applicants applying for the position will have the following; Extensive VMware systems administration and Windows systems administration within a banking environment. Technical Skills required: VMWare Windows 2003 and 2008, Veritas Storage Foundation product suite, SAN Connectivity. In-depth of experience of IT security, risk and compliance tasks.
