Seeking a talented individual to participate in the development, implementation, maintenance, support and enhancement of IT systems and applications in support of our Transmission and/or Distribution Operations in the Real Time Systems Product Center. Possible assignments include planning, designing, developing, testing, coordinating, implementing, maintaining and administering computer based systems and applications. This position may involve the implementation and support of applications related to the Emergency Management Systems (EMS), Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition Systems (SCADA), Plant Process Control Systems ie, LNG (Liquid Natural Gas) facility and Outage Management Systems. The following are the potential teams requiring support: (1) The Transmission Control Center Team, (2) The Distribution SCADA, (3) The Outage Management Team. Applicants must include with their application a list of technologies in which they are experienced.
The Ideal Candidate: Experience in Real Time operations systems support in the Utility industry is desired. Experience with distributed technologies, relational databases and knowledge of infrastructure technology (Servers, workstations, IT security, etc.) is preferred. Experience with Energy Management Systems (EMS), SCADA Systems, Outage Scheduling Systems and/or Data Historian Systems and Outage Management Systems is a plus. In addition to exceptional analytical skills, the successful candidate must demonstrate strong customer focus, team skills and oral/written communications skills. Project management skills and experience in distributed technologies along with proprietary databases are helpful. A proven track record of producing quality products to predetermined standards and specifications plus a desire to learn and apply new skills are required.
