Mechanical CAD Designer - Leicester, Leicestershire - I have an urgent requirement for a Mechanical CAD Designer for my client, a major engineering consultancy. You will be part of a large engineering team preparing high quality engineering drawing. The work undertaken during this role will be as follows:
Generation of complex conveyor layouts
Generation of manufacturing and installation drawings including conveyor line arrangement
Preparation of phasing drawings
Site survey to support above activities
The ideal candidate should have served a recognized mechanical engineering apprenticeship, and should be educated to BTEC or equivalent level. The following skills will also be required for this role:
Mechanical engineering design exposure
Skills in high quality accurate drawings, including system layouts, general arrangements and parts lists, along with manufacturing details, fabrication, sheet metal and structural components
Exposure of Autodesk 3D Inventor and AutoCad 2D
MS Office suite
Previous exposure with conveyor systems in manufacturing, process or mechanical
