Responsible for the translation of business strategies and requirements into IT/IM-enabled solutions and the development and ongoing management of the overall application roadmap. IT Application Portfolio Management role will be responsible for the defining and working towards the target landscape of applications and services, based on a solid understanding of the current landscape and active business engagement.
This includes:
Interpretation of Business and IT strategy and understanding how this will shape the target Portfolio.
Collecting and analysing application and service data including business value, cost, compliance status, life cycle status and support information.
Assessing the effectiveness of the current portfolio of services and applications in supporting business process Developing and agreeing the target application & service portfolio and roadmaps to achieve this;
Recommending changes to achieve target landscape and driving these into the investment cycle; includes both project investments and changes to run-and-maintain spend
Experience and Qualifications required
Technical: - Identify IT/IM solutions to meet Business requirements within the HR Services portfolio, including strategy development for core workhorses.
Working closely with the IT&IM Manager to provide an external face of the HR Business and key suppliers
Responsible for the definition and creation of the annual investment plan (T&R) and the management of the IT investment and opportunity funnel for HR services
Drive the development and adoption of IT strategy
Strong awareness of external market trends and drive adoption of new technologies
Develop and maintain 5-year roadmaps including Legacy take out and approval of step-outs
Manage and control the life cycle of the IT/IM solution/applications in line with business, financial and legal requirements.
Liaise with the strategy & planning and architecture organisations to ensure alignment HR Services portfolio.
