System Analyst - Business Intelligence - Contract
Job Purpose:
The Systems Analyst role is key dynamic position within the Business Intelligence Project Delivery team, and the following are the specific skills required:
Responsibilities:
Analyse, Design and participate in the delivery of the Business Intelligence and Datawarehouse system, adhering to business requirements definition in the European and Global business environment.
Provide analysis and support to the off-shore development teams and on-shore delivery teams through the full project life cycle.
Pro-actively change and maintain the systems/data and technical architecture
Develop an in-depth understanding of the data and data flows across a variety of systems
Develop an in depth understanding of BI requirements for Finance, Operations as well as Systems and Claims departments.
Ensure adherence to development standards.
Participate in overall project plans and work to ensure projects meet agreed delivery dates, are achieved within budget with required levels of quality.
Requirements:
4+ years experience in Systems and/or Data Analysis, or data-centric development role
2+ years working in a development role with significant exposure to SQL, databases (Sybase, MS-SQL Server, etc.), data integration, Datamodelling
Experience with development and/or deployment of web applications
Effective communication skills, both oral and written
Good working knowledge of MS Office tools and data analysis techniques
Strong analytical, decision-making, organisation and interpersonal skills are required
High levels of commitment and energy, ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
Experience with Datawarehouse systems and Business Intelligence desirable
Experience in financial services industry desirable.
