Solvency II Risk Project Manager - Amsterdam

Mandatory skills:
. Relevant master degree in Econometrics, Risk management or Actuarial sciences similar qualifications by experience
. At least 5-10 years experience in complex internationally oriented projects within the Insurance/Financial industry
. Demonstrable achievements/accomplishments in project delivery
. Excellent communicator in English language
. Technical knowledge

Required:
- Experience and affinity with Project management tools
- Proficiency with MS Office toolset including Microsoft Project

Key areas of accountability:
The candidate will be the project manager for Solvency II Risk. This domain is one of the five domains in the entire programme. The domain is established to implement the pillar 1 Solvency II requirement into covering (a.o):
- SCR calculation according to Internal, Standard Model and Replicating Portfolios
- Technical Provision calculation
- Requirements for, and testing of IT solution
- Model Validation
- Internal Model Application Processes
- Managing the client under SII Regime

As a project manager the key contribution would be the followings
- Manage plan build for and during execution manage dependencies with the local units.
- Manage dependencies with the corporate departments delivering core Internal model Instructure as well as Policies and procedures through which we aim to comply with Solvency-2 ruling.
- Manage scope, resourcing, project budget and project plan of the domain.
- Managing all project resources, including subcontractors, and establish and effective communication plan with the regional project team and each of the countries project teams.
- Be responsible for cross-project alignment with other projects
- Given the subjects, candidate requires to have a fairly high degree of specific content knowledge and expertise as in this role, intensive interaction is required with highlighly specialised SME's (eg actuaries, ALM experts).

The Solvency II program is designed to implement the new EU Solvency-2 ruling within the client aiming for compliance across all pillars under the Internal Model Approach , the Solvency II program is designed as an umbrella program with program activities taking place in Headquarters as well as all regions and countries. Within Insurance, a regional project structure operates within this wider program structure to design/coordinate and eventually deliver compliance of the CRE countries with the Pillar 1 regulations. Within the same program, other projects focus on the Pillar 2, Pillar 3 and supporting IT components. Part of the project managers role is therefore also to maintain coherence across the program for those areas where the three pillars overlap/interact.
