We are looking for candidates with the following profile:
Roles and responsibilities:
The tasks will include:
GIS technical support on designing the architecture for mapping and Multilayer analysis
Design and implement the SDE Geo-database
Developing and maintaining centralized web-based GIS services
Preparing different types of geospatial analysis using ArcGIS software and various techniques;
Following-up geospatial developments in other SRS projects
Support the development and customization of the Web GIS component
GIS technical support on implementation within the ICT infrastructure.
Managing geospatial data collection and maintenance including checking and processing geospatial data collected from various sources;
Drafting and maintaining technical GIS reports and documentation on achieved tasks and deliverables;
Performing any other supporting tasks related to his level of expertise, assigned by SRS unit
General competencies:
University degree with minimum 4 years experience in GIS
Strong knowledge of the following standards: Web Feature Services (WFS), Web Map Services (WMS), Shapefile
Certification in Project Management
Strong knowledge of data classification/summarisation algorithms for GIS and their implementations
Proven experience in developing Enterprise GIS solutions for Public Health and Epidemiology for International Organizations
Very good command of English; oral and written
Extensive experience in developing and working with SOAP/REST map services
Extensive experience in GIS technical documentation writing
Experience in development for Sharepoint technology
Extensive experience in UML modelling and OOP design
Extensive experience in sourcing, formatting and processing GIS data. GIS Architecture Design, GIS Data Analysis and Data Management
Excellent knowledge of ArcGIS Server 10, ArcGIS for Sharepoint, and ArcGIS Silverlight API
Experience in ArcGIS suite
Basic WebGIS development
Language skills:
Good Command of English, both Oral and Written
Contract
The initial contract is for 97 working days, beginning in September 2012 with an option to extend if deemed necessary
