We are currently looking for two Functional Analysts Change & Portfolio Management for a company based in Brussels.

We have one freelance position for three months (possibly prolonged) and one permanent position.

As a Functional Analyst, you will contribute to the creation of new IT portfolio reporting solutions by assisting your internal customers in formulating and formalising their requirements and designing possible solutions. You will occupy a pivotal position between IT higher management, IT Delivery Centres and Business Transformation Office, calling for analytical and communication skills and an innovative approach. This role is considered key for the realisation of an ambitious project!

Your work environment

  • You are working in the IT department responsible for the Change Portfolio of projects and more specifically in the area of reporting requirements development and performance analysis.
  • This central department provides support to the IT organization in providing adequate solutions to monitor the IT Change portfolio of projects through different axes (budget, resources capacity, productivity & quality, realized benefits) and at the different levels strategic, tactical and operational.
  • It frequently interacts with the different IT Delivery Centres and with the Business department "Transformation Office" to support and coach them in matter of reporting and capacity management.

Job description

  • You will discuss, gather and elicit senior management and department reporting objectives and needs, translate them into functional and operational requirements, and challenge them to ensure fit to us
  • You will ensure with the IT Reporting Expert that those requirements are implementable in an appropriate industrial solution
  • You will set up a portfolio of "white papers", describing existing and newly developed reports' user's specifications.
  • You will be involved in developing communication package and in giving information session on the newly deployed solutions#
  • You will ensure that reporting requirements are correctly implemented before the industrialization phase, and will conduct the User Acceptance Tests
  • Once produced, you will participate to "ad hoc" analysis, on higher management demand.
    - Your knowledge of our IT helps you to define solutions that integrate optimally with our standard way of working.
    Your profile

Knowledge and experience

  • Master Degree with a quantitative orientation
  • You have at least 3 years experience as a functional analyst in the framework of software development projects, preferably in the Banking areas:
  • You are fluent in English as well as in Dutch and/or French

The following is a plus:

  • Experience within a banking environment
  • Experience with statistical analysis
