Link Technologies is currently seeking a Security Engineer for a contract position in Las Vegas, NV.
Responsibilities:
Improve network security architecture with IDS/IPS and DDoS prevention strategies
Advise on changes to networks and systems
Assist in the development of the Logging & Monitoring program
Keep up to date on new security vulnerabilities, trends, threats, and solutions to include in regular assessments
Assist with the development of security standards for operating systems, network devices, and software solutions
Investigate and resolve any possible security incidents
Liaise with other technology teams to work on initiatives and resolving security issues
Assist in penetration testing efforts
Qualifications:
Advanced understanding of network infrastructure and how they work in an enterprise environment.
Advanced understanding of security architecting and how to use the building blocks of security to allow for the flow of data between businesses and customers without compromising security.
Good understanding of Cryptography and how it fits inside an enterprise.
Experience in designing a network architecture
Extensive experience with Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, VPN, Routers, and other network security and infrastructure devices
Experience in Syslog development or SIEMs implementation
Familiarity with security tools, such as Nessus, Retina, AppScan, Snort, etc.
Ability to script and automate processes in Linux environments
Programming knowledge a big plus
CISSP, SANS GIAC, a plus
Network certs (example: CCIE,) desired
