- In depth knowledge of application development environments in Java (J2EE) and Object Oriented programming
- In depth knowledge of relational database systems (ie Oracle)
- Good knowledge of the design and development of web and multi-tiers Internet applications
- Good knowledge of specific frameworks (ie Spring, JPA and Hibernate) used at the EEAS
- Good knowledge of modelling tools (eg UML)
- Good knowledge of software development methodologies (eg RUP, Agile)
- Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments
Ability to work (speaking/writing) in English for all project artifacts and meetings, and a good understanding of French
- Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, ease of communication.
Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self- - starting capability, self motivated and experience in team working.
- All Web Information Systems projects managed by the Clients Information Systems Section make full use of the Rational Unified Process methodology as well as Rational Team Concert, Rational Software analyzer, Rational Functional Tester, Rational Quality Manager and Rational Performance Loader.
- Therefore, a good knowledge of these development life cycle management tools is an asset.
- Practical experience with Dojo Toolkit will also be an asset.
