Description
Requirements Analyst/Test Coordinator, Multiple Positions.
The primary job responsibilities include:
- Contribute to estimate and workplan for business process analysis, extraction of IT requirements, creation of traceability and validation through testing.
- Studies a function or product and determines the relationship of component parts.
- Facilitates requirements gathering and interview sessions with customers in order surface essential IT requirements.
- Works effectively with the business to quickly learn the culture and relationships.
- Models requirements via UML using company IT standard tool Enterprise Architect.
- Translates functional requirements into test scripts.
- Facilitates User Acceptance Test sessions with customers, assigning defects to appropriate project team members and tracking resolution to completion using Quality Center.
- Validates functional requirements through implementation.
- May assist in development of recommendations based on analysis.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in MIS, CS, or a business discipline, or equivalent work experience
- Five (5) plus years of application analysis and/or development work experience with Object Oriented Programming languages.
- Demonstrated understanding of data integration architectures including ODS and Datawarehouse concepts
- Demonstrated understanding of relational databases, such as SQL, Oracle, and DB2
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with customers, management, and teammates
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and properly prioritize required tasks to meet time schedules
- Ability to easily and quickly learn business process in relation to application functionality and document business needs/features as described
- Demonstrated ability to document functional requirements in the form of Use Cases.
- Demonstrated ability to translate Use Cases into test scripts
Ability to work with external vendors of software packages and coordinate deliverables between internal and external teams - Knowledge of IT Solution Delivery life cycle process and the ability to apply solution delivery best practices as defined
- Demonstrated knowledge with the Unified Process, specifically with UML and Use Case Methodologies.
- Strong facilitation leadership, communication and influencing skills
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in changing development environment (including software development in multiple languages)
- An affinity for leading/facilitating meetings with both business and IT teams, documenting requirements deliverables, facilitation of testing and assignment/tracking of defects
- Self awareness with strong desire for self development and acquisition of skills
- Experience using Enterprise Architect and Mercury Quality Center
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in Regulated Utility Industry, preferably nuclear power generation.
Experience with Ventyx's work management tool, Asset Suite.
