Work Assignment:
Two projects. Integration project running multi threaded Java loading 2 billion transactions a day to database. Tuning loading/querying. Second project is database and reporting for new signaing application. Both Projects are Java in linux environment with Middleware application utilizing Weblogic and JBOSS. Databases utilized are Vertica, MySQL and Oracle.
General Summary:
A Senior Systems Engineer has the responsibilities to develop, design and test new applications and perform life cycle support for existing applications. The engineer must possess excellent knowledge of the multiple subsystems within environment and the tools that support company's products. The engineer is capable of leading the development effort for subsystems (or major components) of a large-scale project. In addition, the engineer must be completely accountable for all assigned tasks. Finally, the engineer is required to adhere to all of company's software development procedures and processes while fulfilling the leadership role.
This position will also provide cross-functional support within company for RFP's, RFI's, sales calls, etc. and provide input for business case development, market analysis and operational issues. Facilitate or attend internal and external technical overviews and determine technical feasibility.
