Ingres DBA Required
Contract 6 months, Dublin Ireland.
Vantage Resources are seeking an experienced Ingres DBA & for an initial 6-month contract opportunity with one of our largest public sector clients.
Your role will involve working as part of the infrastructure team providing database administration support in an n-Tier environment.
This will include planning/performing major installations, implementing major systems, implementing high-level security, preparing procedures, monitoring managing and maintaining databases, tuning/optimising databases and responsibility for backup and recovery.
Ideally you will have experience in the following
Between 3 - 5 years' commercial experience of Ingres
Excellent knowledge of Ingres RDBMS
Knowledge of Ingres database implementations on either a Windows or Unix/Linux operating system
Experience working with a large Ingres RDBMS database, ie in excess of half a terabyte
Experience working with a large Ingres RDBMS database, ie in excess of half a terabyte
A good knowledge of implementing and maintaining Ingres applications within the n-tier architecture.
Excellent client facing and communication skills are a pre-requisite
Initially these roles will be for 6 months with an option to extend.
