Senior Data Transformation Developer (WTX)
For a client of ours we are looking for a senior Data Transformation for a minimum four months mission in Brussels to start ASAP with the possibility for an extension. The project involves building complex data mappings with WebSphere Transformation eXtender (WTX), covering the complete development life cycle from refining specifications, schema definitions, mapping development inclusive of filtering rules and enrichment queries (DB or web services), through to test preparations, specifications and execution, up to deployment in a ESB infrastructure (build over MQ, WebSphere Message Broker & DataPower appliances).
Your tasks
The developer will contribute to diverse internal projects and shall become the reference person for all data formats and associated application interfaces
Collect and organize samples
Maintain dictionaries and format libraries
Produce data transformation implementation designs
Develop and test
Source control and versioning
Comply with the ESB and monitoring framework
Maintain an issue log and chase resolutions
Quality assurance of the deliverables
Organisation of the data and format libraries
Data mapping flexibility and productivity (new maps, change requests)
Completeness and robustness of developments
Accuracy of documentation
Industrialization of developments
Test automation
You will:
maintain the data format and data mapping libraries, both for internal and external (standard) formats contribute to the evaluation of workloads regarding data transformation needs by every project contribute to flow design workshops enforce standardized documentation and production practices. evaluate mapping performance requirements and recommend appropriate measures. aid with the definition of schemas (messages, databases, service interfaces) and message flows contribute to development, integration and acceptance tests.
coordinate deployments and perform data transformation configuration management
work together with the project teams for relevant projects. provide support in a service management environment
Your Profile
Technical Experience
Ideal: Development experience with IBM WebSphere Transformation Extender
Bonus: Knowledge of WebSphere MessageBroker
Required:
Practice with a data transformation tool
XML schema definitions, WSDL
WebSphere MQ or equivalent
General knowledge about integration: EAI, EDI, ESB, SOA...
Scripting skills (automation)
Soft skills
Super-well organized (rigor, documentation...)
Accountable
Able to chase information and people (many internal and external contacts)
Able to manage tasks simultaneously, switch often while keeping track of parallel progress on multiple work orders
Diplomatic and patient in dealing with people.

Languages
English mandatory, Dutch or French preferred
