This is a rolling 6 month contract based in Dublin
ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE FREELY AVAILABLE TO WORK IN IRELAND.
AS THIS IS AN URGENT REQUIREMENT THE CLIENT IS NOT WILLING TO SPONSOR VISAS/WORK PERMITS ON THIS OCCASION.
Essential Skills:
- C++ OR JavarDevelopment background.
- Previous Experience of developing software on Unix Environment
- Unix Scripting, TCL, Perl or similar Scripting
- Project development life cycle
- Design and development methodologies (Scrum/Agile)
- Relational Databases - Preferably Oracle or MySQL, PL/SQL, NOSQL
- Ideally 3-5 years software development experience.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of Protocols such as Diameter, GTP, SNMP, LDAP, SSH, SS7
- Developing Multi-Threaded applications Enterprise Java 5 or 6 with EJB 3.0 Experience of Application Servers (Jboss, IMB WAS, BEA WebLogic or Oracle)
- JEE Development using Hibernate, Spring, or Seam Frameworks
About the Role:
The client requires strong application developers to work on bulding solutions on their proudct lines.
Some of the task would include the following:
- Creation and review of Functional Specifications using Proposal and requirement documentation as input.
- Ability to design and implement a complex module with minimal supervision or review.
- Review Design Specifications and code of junior and peer engineers.
- Create and review Test plans and Testing of large modules and systems.
- Take a leadership role on smaller development projects.
- Installation and delivery of customer deliveries on a customer site, and dealing with customer issues.
- Assisting with on-site implementations of the final product.
- Mentoring and review of more junior engineers
