We are currently looking for a Software Developer for a company in Bruges (Belgium) to start ASAP for a long term freelance mission (rolling contract)
The Software Development group at the company we are recruiting for drives innovation by integration into a top performing system with a strong focus on managing state-of-the-art software assets and delivering value creation through meaningful differentiation. This group has over 150 people working from conceptualization (requirements/architecture) to realization (development/testing).
To fulfil this mission we are looking for a product-level software developer and integrator. We seek a driven team player (M/F) who wants to grow in this dynamic and innovative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-intake and incoming inspection activities to check the completeness/quality of deliverables.
- Take in and integrate subsystem releases and patches.
- Design and development of user level TV applications on a Linux based software platform.
- Organise independent reviews of your design and code with colleagues
- Ensure timeliness of commitments and milestones whilst guaranteeing the quality of software and all deliverables.
- Create, verify, test and release product configurations based on subsystem releases made from different locations around the world.
- Perform pre-release integration testing and create release reports.
- Assist in development activities of the integration team including solving product Problem Reports (PRs) and implementing product Change Requests (CRs).
- Actively contribute to and give support in the analysis and resolution of problems.
- Manage integration and above activities across different product branches.
Profile:
- You are an Industrial or Civil Engineer or Master in Informatics or have a specialisation in Computer Sciences
- You have minimum 3 years experience in an Embedded software environment.
- You have detailed knowledge and experience of C programming and SQLite in an Embedded system.
- You have experience in Embedded Linux.
- You have experience and knowledge of testing.
- You have experience in working with multidisciplinary and cross-site teams. Experience with third party software suppliers is considered an asset.
- You are communicative and result driven and can work on a very high conceptual level.
- You have the ability to work and prioritize on your own.
- You are quality minded both on a product and process level; knowledge or experience of process models such as CMMI, Agile, DFSS is considered an asset.
- You have a good command of English.
- Ability to do Scripting and create software tools to assist development and integration activities is considered an asset.
- Experience with continuous integration tools is considered an asset.
