Description
Our client is a true tier-1 International Investment Bank with a dominant presence across the US, EMEA & Asia-Pac. Their Australian business straddles both Sydney & Melbourne and participates in a number of financial markets (with a focus on Equities). Due to sustained growth in the region, they require the services of an experienced Integrator/Developer to sit on the trading floor and assist in the build out of the IRESS environment.
You will join a small yet talented team of highly business aligned technologists who form part of a wider, regional group tasked with ensuring the market data, trading and connectivity environment is as performant as possible.
You will be specifically responsible for the IRESS suite, your tasks will range from setting up new users accounts and performing system checks to reviewing and redesigning the order execution components to integrate with the banks proprietary build DMA system. This is a highly technical role best suiting candidate from a development background. You will liaise directly with the business (and IRESS as a vendor) so exceptional communication skills and an in-depth understanding of the product/business area (Cash Equities) is required.
Requirements of the role:
- Strong Knowledge of IRESS IOS/IOS Admin/IOS+.
- Solid Software Development Background (C# preferred)
- Experience working with a regionally distributed team
- Previous Experience working with IRESS as a Vendor
- Knowledge of FIX Protocol (preferred)
- Strong test automation required & knowledge of Continuous Integration
- Clear Thinker with strong Business Interaction & Liaison abilities
- Additional knowledge of VBA/Python/Shell/Perl (preferred)
