Due to the need for someone to start in this position shortly, you must have the unrestricted right to live and work in the UK at the time of application.

ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out first line maintenance and fault finding on Electrical, Instrument and Control systems.
Participates in the reliability programme.
Provide technical support to the maintenance contractor.
Carries out plant modifications of a technical nature.
Carries maintenance routines on critical systems, DCS, Maxivis, EMCS, PRT, P Alarm system, 82K-1, 27K-1, 3K-1 etc.
Propose plant improvements.
Consults with manufacturers.
Attends daily Maintenance/Ops meeting as required.
Provide solutions to re-occurring plant problems.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Management skills
Control & Power systems technical knowledge
Understanding of specs registers
Plant knowledge (All key tasks and responsibilities)
Knowledge of relevant British Standards (All key tasks & responsibilities)
Communications skills
An understanding of the Company Quality Systems
An understanding of the Company Environmental policy & procedures
Qualified to HNC level in electrical/instrument engineering
Experienced in all key tasks and responsibilities.
Awareness of relevant British, European and International standards.

SAFETY & HEALTH
Study LOR Standards and carry out duties in compliance with these.
Promote electrical safety awareness.
Evaluate safe working practices in line with current guidelines and legislation.
Assess safety of equipment and systems.
An understanding of COSHH regulations and where to obtain information on substances.
An understanding of the Electricity at Work Regulations.
An understanding of the DSEAR

ENVIRONMENTAL
Execute duties and control work, maintain records to meet the requirements of BS EN 14001.

QUALITY
Execute duties to maintain high standards of workmanship and equipment.
