Are you a progressive senior Web developer with JavaScript, HTML, CSS who is interested in moving into mobile web development? Customer prefers some mobile experience but if you have a strong Web development background and a passion to progress into mobile, our customer wants to speak with you! Our customer is a "dog friendly" work environment.
Lead Web + Mobile Developer to be based out of Midtown Atlanta, GA office.

Overview:

  • This position requires a skilled technologist who is a team-oriented professional and an effective communicator. Our work includes face-to-face, phone, and e-mail work with clients, client teams as well as internal staff and cross-vendor project teams to create exciting, effective solutions. Our iterative, collaborative approach calls for developers who also participate in creative concept sessions, solution designs, estimation, mockups and proofs-off-concept, proposals and client presentations.
  • Experience in designing an application and seeing it through to completion, including requirements gathering, architecture, implementation and deployment.
  • Strong familiarity with mobile design paradigms, development practices, user interface standards and implementation approaches.
  • Knowledge of relational database design concepts and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to handle diverse situations, multiple projects and rapidly changing priorities.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams with client stakeholders, product managers, account managers, graphics and UX designers and infrastructure engineers to jointly develop solutions including use cases, technical designs and rollout strategies.
  • Ability to communicate software concepts in detailed design documentation.
  • Ability to communicate with clients at peer levels and above in presentations.
  • Ability to assess a business needs and suggest viable options, often in the absence of specific technical requirements.
  • Experience as a development lead on complex projects, mentoring junior developers. Experience with leading offshore teams is a definite plus.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop custom web and mobile software solutions for clients based upon their business requirements.
  • Work with designers to develop logical layouts while maintaining ease of implementation and timely deployments.
  • Take a designer's wireframes and comps and converting them into functional applications.
  • Develop test plans, unit tests, integration tests, deployment plans.
  • Assist in deployment of applications.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to identify and address project risks and issues.
  • Multitask between regular task requests, small projects and work as a team member on larger projects.
  • Maintain a well-organized work environment through effective time management and the prioritizing of assigned tasks.
Technical Requirements:
  • Experience develop rich mobile websites, apps and cross-platform websites.
  • Experience developing mobile apps using native tools or cross-platform solutions, especially Sench Touch and PhoneGap.
  • Strong Javascript experience in an AJAX/json/web services environment.
  • Back End development experience in object-oriented and framework-based approaches, for example in PHP,.NET, Java.
  • LAMP stack experience.
  • Facebook API experience preferred, comfort with similar RESTful web API's.
  • Database experience including MySQL, SQL Server, Apache/IIS configuration.
  • Content Management System (CMS) experience for example Drupal, Joomla, Umbraco, SiteCore, DotNetNuke, Sitefinity.
  • Skilled designing, developing and reviewing Object Oriented JavaScript including jQuery, jQueryUI and AJAX.
  • Hands-on skills with HTML and CSS across browsers and platforms including mobile.
  • Understanding of how to design a strong data architecture and how to map the user's business needs to the design.
  • Ability and desire to learn and adopt new technologies quickly and evangelize to the team, the company and the community.
  • Strong experience with Source Control tools specifically Subversion, Mercurial.
  • Solid understanding of and experience developing and consuming web services - RESTful and/or SOAP - 3rd party API integration including JSON and XML exchange.
