Cost Engineer - SC Cleared
We currently have a fantastic new opportunity for an SC Cleared Cost Analyst/Engineer to work for one of our leading blue chip clients on a 6 month + contract based in Hampshire. The client will be looking to pay around £250 - £350 per day depending on experience. This role requires candidates to currently hold a valid SC Clearance.
Background
The client have been tasked by a number of MOD stakeholders to carry out the 'Cost Analysis tasks' on various projects including the work under the Acquisition Policy Domain including "cost leadership" for Defence Financial Management Reform. Support of THREE Cost Analysts is required to assist the Manning, Training and Costs (MTC) team in meeting the customer requirements across two domains:

- Cost Leadership
- Cost Pressures
- Cost of Concepts
- Optimism Bias
- Support to Inter Theatre Lift project
- Cost of Readiness
- Cost of Personnel
Main Duties/Responsibilities
Cost Analysts will be expected to work alongside the MTC team and will need to be flexible and adaptable to constantly evolve customer direction and priority. Delivery of results, in the form of memos, reports and/or presentations, will be required throughout the duration of the contract. The contractor will be expected to attend regular progress meetings with the client study team and update the project manager accordingly. The primary working location will be in Hampshire with travel to London and other MOD sites as necessary.
Essential Criteria
- Operational analysis
- Generic cost modelling
- Cost analysis tools and techniques
- Knowledge of current Defence issues, military equipment and the three services
- Writing analytical based reports for MoD customers
- Good interpersonal skills
UK National (with no dual nationality) holding a valid SC clearance
