Role: Finance/Project Manager
Skills: Finance - MI - Business Case - Business Improvement - Retail Banking
Overview:
Our client, a major UK retail bank, require the services of a Finance/Project Manager to work on a programme of work to simplify their business. The role will specifically be looking at some that can review the financial side of business cases, produce MI and look at performance improvements available in the business.
Core duties of the role:
- To manage the finance & MI work stream to ensure programme changes affecting Finance areas are reflected in BAU operations, and to monitor the impact of the programme on regional sales performance.
- Design performance monitoring processes and reports
- Monitor performance of regions during and post implementation
- Produce ad hoc MI as required
- Liaise with CB Finance to ensure the Sales Opportunity model reflects changes due to Convenient Branches
- Ensure changes are made to job codes, targets and incentives where necessary
- Presentation of results to senior stakeholders eg via Steering Committee or Executive Steering Group
Core skills and experience required:
- Broad financial skill set covering business case preparation & monitoring, reporting, cost accounting and analysis
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to prioritise effectively
- Ability to respond to issues quickly and effectively
- Process oriented with the ability to pull together multiple workstreams
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
