Our client requires the services of an Infrastructure Desktop Platform Analyst, to provide deliverables including, but not limited to, the following:
- Managing Standard Images for the client's different desktop platforms
- Managing Active Directory policies.
- Deployment processes and procedures
- Code associated with the imaging process (eg Scripting, batch files, etc.)
- Documentation
- Support for duration of implementation and post implementation of Windows Systems Upgrade Project for Windows 7, Office 2010, Exchange 2010, etc.
Qualifications and Experience:
Previous knowledge and experience with:
- building unattended installs under Windows XP Pro, Win 7 Pro
- batch Scripting or equivalent (WSH,Perl, etc.)
- customizing Office 2010 Pro and other Microsoft 2010 products
- using disk-imaging software technologies (PQDI, Ghost, etc )
- using Computer Associates Tools, such as Unicenter (ITCM, OSIM)
- using native MS tools (Sysprep utility, group policies)
- on how to take advantage of "Dynamic Updates" during unattended setups in order to deploy changes to images on-the-fly.
- capturing Clients customizations. (Favourites, toolbars, macros, custom dictionaries, etc), (USMT, Alteris, etc)
- Advanced PC (HW/SW) troubleshooting skills.
- Experience regarding the installation, configuration and modification of device drivers as part of OS installation process.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and software,
- Several years experience in the desktop managem3nt field combined with experience in an organization, administering to a large system installed base and diverse requirements.
- Strong customer service orientation for desktop/end user computing solutions and problem resolution.
Prefer MCP certification.
